The Monroe County Board of County Commissioners and the University of Florida have shared a productive county/state/federal partnership through the cooperation with Extension Services for more than 35 years. The primary mission of Monroe County Extension Services is to disseminate and encourage the application of research-generated knowledge.

The department creates programs and services that offer unique lifelong learning opportunities, empowering people to improve their quality of life.
