On The Hook boat in the water with an anchorage of boats in the foreground

Monroe County has contracted with On The Hook Marine Services to begin temporary mobile vessel pump-out services starting Oct. 1 in the following anchorages:

Little Basin

Windley/Wilson Key

Community Harbor

Tarpon Basin

Big Basin

Windley/OV Basin

Buttonwood Sound

Jewfish Creek

Services will be provided temporarily while Monroe County continues to seek a new vendor to provide long-term mobile pump-out services to vessels anchored throughout the Florida Keys. Register for this free service at or by calling 305-833-1978.

 How It Works

Upon first service, vessels will be provided an orange pump-out flag to be flown when service is requested. This flag shall be flown from a visible location aboard the vessel. Service will be provided only when the pump-out flag is properly displayed. Vessels will also receive a monthly endorsement sticker that will serve as documentation for compliance with the Monroe County Proof of Pump-out Ordinance 015-2017.

A weekly service schedule can be found at Every effort will be made to provide your vessel with a routine, weekly pump-out service, if requested. However, weather, safety or other scheduling considerations cannot guarantee that you will be provided service on a routine schedule. Shoreside pump-out stations are also available throughout Monroe County and can be found at
