Jacobs Aquatic Center
In 1997, Doctor Jim Bolini “Doc” and members from the community helped form the Upper Keys Community Pool Inc. The goal was to bring a community pool to the Upper Keys. In 2002, the dream became a reality when the now beloved and much-used staple of Key Largo, Jacobs Aquatic Center, was built. For over 20 years, the Upper Keys Community Pool Inc. has successfully managed the pool. After many laps, countless Orange Bowls, and helping get the Keys Kids Swim program running, the time has come for Doc and Crew to hang up their swim caps one last time.
In March 2024, StandGuard Aquatics stepped onto the diving board to take over operations. The team at StandGuard has over 30 years of experience in aquatic management and consulting, developing aquatic programming to best meet the community's needs. They operate pools in seven different states, ranging from water parks to community pools.
