Contractors Examining Board
The Contractors Examining Board was created on December 9, 1975, and is provided for under MC Code Sec 6-263 - 6-270. This board was established to interpret and make rules and regulations, to hear public complaints, and code compliance violations.
Rules of Procedure
The Board consists of eight regular voting members. Each member shall be selected for a period of three years. Upon expiration of a member’s term, any member who has served in good standing and receives the recommendation of a quorum of the examining board shall be eligible for reappointment with no limit on the number of terms consecutive or otherwise.

The Contractors Examining Board is currently accepting applications for the upcoming vacant layperson seat. This position is one of three layperson positions, which are defined as: Three persons who are not and have never been engaged in any of the occupations for which licensing is required under this chapter and who are not engaged in any related profession.

Appeals
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
